Do I need to install an app on my phone?

No! ScanToDesk works directly in your phone's web browser. Just scan the QR code with your phone's camera, and the scanning interface opens automatically. No app installation required.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Your scanned documents are transferred using encrypted connections and are automatically deleted after the session ends (or within 30 minutes). We don't store your files permanently and don't have access to view your documents.

Why isn't the QR code scanning?

Make sure your phone's camera has permission to access the camera. Try opening your phone's default camera app and pointing it at the QR code. If that doesn't work, you can try a QR code scanner app. Ensure there's enough lighting and the QR code is clearly visible.

Where are my scanned files saved?

By default, scanned files are saved to your Downloads folder. You can change the save location in the desktop app settings.

Can I scan multiple pages into one PDF?

Yes! After taking multiple photos, tap the "Create PDF" button to combine them into a single PDF document. You can reorder or remove pages before creating the PDF.

The connection keeps disconnecting. What should I do?

Ensure both your phone and PC are connected to stable internet. The session automatically reconnects if there's a brief disconnection. If problems persist, try generating a new QR code by clicking "New Session" in the desktop app.
